Mission:

To transform our community by providing engaging and challenging anti-racist education that centers the lived experiences of people of color.

vision:

We envision a community that pushes no-one to the margins, celebrates diversity, and works together for racial and social justice.

what we do:

We fulfill our mission through workshops, community conversations, *PoC- centered events, and rapid response to racial and social injustice.

It all started when…

In 2016, R.A.C.E. Matters formed in response to the killings of unarmed black men by law enforcement. A group of like minded people began to meet, seeing a need for local engagement around racial and social justice. The grassroots organization has hosted public and private dialogues about race and racism, and also houses projects that are in line with its mission and values.
